I'm Raza - your Personal Trainer

The Basics

I have the best job in the world! I am a Personal Trainer at the University of Nottingham as well as managing my own personal training business - FitR. At the University, I coach students, staff and the local community with client needs ranging from disabilities and injury-recovery to high-performance athletes and people ready to start the biggest fitness challenge of their lives! I have a wide range of experience and knowledge and I use this in my mobile personal training sessions in the Nottingham area and online, as well as instant download and tailor made programs.

I am also currently working towards becoming a Level 2 Certified Functional Movement Screening Specialist and Fundamental Capacity Screening Specialist.

I've tried everything!

In my 20+ Years of sports and fitness experience, I've done everything from competitive bodybuilding (and won!) to salsa dancing with lots of other sports in between! Whatever you enjoy doing - I've probably had a go at some point!

I've had Injuries too!

If you're concerned about training because of an injury or disability, I've got you covered. I used my own back injury as an opportunity to learn new and creative ways to train around injuries and I regularly work with clients of all abilities, ages, and fitness levels. I also work with people that have different needs and requirements and I always find fun ways to get around anything that's preventing a client from achieving their best - training in the quiet nature, creating programs for short attention spans and thinking of new ways to use equipment are my favourite things to do!

I am the happiest, most enthusiastic and energetic trainer you'll every meet! There will be no problems with motivation, confidence or self-esteem once we start training and I promise you'll leave every session feeling positive vibes!
